Conventional white semolina (suji) or refined wheat rava relies on a single, heavily processed grain that has been stripped of its bran and germ, offering nothing but fast-digesting starch that spikes blood glucose, drives weight gain, and causes gut sluggishness. Ayini Organic Siruthaniya Ravai (Mixed Millet Rava) delivers a revolutionary, multi-botanical upgrade to your kitchen. Instead of just one grain, this clean-label blend unites the unique, distinct nutritional profiles of South India’s finest unpolished heritage millets—including Foxtail (Thinai), Barnyard (Kuthiraivali), Kodo (Varagu), and Little Millet (Saamai). By precisely parboiling, blending, and coarse-milling these ancient grains together, we create a powerful nutritional synergy. You get a dense matrix of diverse plant proteins, varied dietary fibers, and cross-functional trace minerals in every single bite, perfectly stabilizing your daily energy and feeding a diverse, healthy gut microbiome.

💡 How to Prepare / Use

  • Prep: Measure 1 cup of Ayini Siruthaniya Ravai. To awaken its complex, multi-grained toasted aroma and ensure an perfectly fluffy, separate texture, gently dry-roast the rava in a heavy-bottomed pan over a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes until warm. Set aside.

  • Method:

    • For Ultimate Multi-Millet Upma / Khichdi: Heat 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed sesame or coconut oil in a pan. Temper with mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, green chilies, curry leaves, and a generous cup of finely chopped fresh vegetables. Pour in 2.5 to 3 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil with rock salt. Turn the heat down to low, slowly stream in the roasted Siruthaniya Ravai while stirring continuously with a ladle to prevent lump formation. Cover tightly with a lid and let it steam-cook on low heat for 8 to 10 minutes until the moisture is completely absorbed.

    • For Multi-Millet Idli / Appam: Use the rava as a nutrient-dense, grain replacement in your traditional fermented batter recipes.

  • Serve / Enjoy: Fluff gently with a fork, drizzle a teaspoon of fresh Desi cow ghee if desired, and serve steaming hot alongside fresh coconut chutney, tangy tomato sambar, or spiced flaxseed podi. Store the remaining dry rava in an airtight glass jar in a cool, dry place.
