Barnyard Millet, or Kuthiraivali, is the fastest-growing crop among all millets, naturally concentrating high levels of digestible protein and dietary fiber within its tiny grain. In an era of sedentary lifestyles, switching to Barnyard Millet provides the body with a potent source of resistant starch, which acts as a prebiotic to fuel healthy gut bacteria while maintaining stable blood sugar levels.

Product Description

Ayini Barnyard Millet Vermicelli is a testament to the fact that healthy eating does not require a compromise on taste. By choosing this fiber-rich alternative over refined wheat options, you are actively reducing your internal inflammation and supporting a balanced metabolism. Every pack represents a partnership with South Indian farmers who continue to cultivate these forgotten grains, bringing "the miracle of millets" directly to your kitchen.

๐Ÿ’ก How to Prepare / Use

Hydration: Immerse the Barnyard Millet vermicelli in water (at room temperature) for only 1 to 2 minutes. Because this millet is more delicate than Pearl Millet, it requires a shorter soaking time.

Steaming: Drain the water thoroughly using a colander. Transfer the moist vermicelli to a steamer and steam for 4 to 6 minutes. The strands should be soft but distinct, not mushy.

Seasoning: Heat a pan with cold-pressed coconut or groundnut oil. Add your preferred tempering (mustard seeds, urad dal, chillies, and veggies). Gently fold in the steamed vermicelli. It is best enjoyed as a light lemon sevai or a savory vegetable pulao.
